‘Kinderpretland’ (Kids Fun Land) is Weert’s playground, regardless of weather! The indoor
playground measures 2000 m², and the outdoor playground is no less than 10,000 m². And all these square metres are included in a single price of admission.
Kinderpretland has one of the largest indoor playground structures in the Netherlands, with no less than 4 floors of incredible fun for kids. Weather permitting, the outdoor area is also open. Here, kids can play to their hearts’ content in the massive fort or on one of the many other pieces of playground equipment available. Kinderpretland has the advantage of offering you an indoor as well as outdoor playground at a single location. The indoor playground is one huge jungle, in which kids can play, climb, jump and glide for hours on end. Perhaps they don't yet have
the courage to try the free-fall slide? No problem: they can also whiz down one of the other slides to get back to the ground floor.
Or perhaps your child would prefer to go for a jumping session on one of the jumping balloons, roll around in the container filled with hollow plastic balls, or just play around with various kinds of materials? We have a special area set aside for toddlers, where they can also enjoy themselves to the fullest. If you would rather be outside, the kids can enjoy themselves in our large outdoor playground - on the various slides, swings or cable-lift for example. And if the weather really
turns nice, everyone can take their shoes off and simply relax.
Strawberry Land - a magically delicious land full of sweet strawberries and adventure
Strawberry Land is a unique theme park, located in northern Limburg. By now, the park includes various strawberry fields, greenhouses, a pavilion, a shop, patios, gardens, a museum,
a Strawberry Forest etc. Many different varieties of delicious strawberries, old as well as new, can be admired in several colourful spots within this fascinating park. Here, strawberries are not simply called strawberries, but are given impressive sounding names such as Lambada, Senga Sengana, Korona, Gorella, Eros, Talisman, Evita, Induka, etc. And they are all unbelievably delicious! But don't take our word for it: tasting is believing. The Strawberry Forest and other attractions act as powerful magnets for the younger visitors. If you want to take a break, just sit down and enjoy some delicious strawberries and cream! To put it simply, it's a question of
looking, learning, picking, smelling, tasting and tasting again. The Strawberry Forest is open every day (except Mondays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. from the first of April till the end of
October. During the summer harvesting season, visitors can pick their own delicious store of fruit.
Farmers’ golf
Farmers’ golf is based on the well-known game of golf but is played differently here. The game is played on pastureland among the cows using modified sticks and bowls. Generally, the game is played by groups of four to five persons. The golf course has 10 holes, and the entire course is about 2 km long. A game takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You can make reservations for a game throughout the year. Sticks and balls for rent are available. Admission is €6 per person. Larger
groups (minimum 20 persons) are eligible for a discount.
Boat trips
From April through December, Rederij Cascade organizes various boat trips, including regular service between Wessem, Stevensweert and Thorn, as well as Three Locks trips and
cruises towards Roermond.
Sculpture garden
The sculpture garden of the Gallery World Art House is located on an idyllic spot between the Maas River and the Maas Dunes. Exhibitions of work by foreign artists regularly follow
each other up here. Workshops are also given in sculpture and painting.
In the sculpture garden, an important collection of figures from Zimbabwe is being shown, illustrating all the various schools and styles.
The subtropical swimming pool, 'De IJzeren Man' (The Iron Man), offers a complete range of facilities and provides relaxation and pleasure for all: young and old, parents as well as children. De IJzeren Man offers you subtropical above-water and underwater pleasure for a very attractive price.
We offer the following facilities:
Wave pool (water temperature 30 degrees) The wave pool has a fast current section, a whirlpool bath, a slide (the starlight express) and a toddler's pool. There are various sections where you can just sit back and relax:
- the area in between the toddler’s pool and the wave pool
- a patio near the bar 25-metre pool (water temperature 27.6 degrees)
This pool meets the official requirements for swimming meets and is the perfect place to get yourself back in shape. During the recreational swimming periods, various types of playing
materials are available in the water. The pool measures 25x15 metres. The depth of the water at the starting blocks is 3 m. The shallow section is flexible with a depth varying from 0 m to 2 m.
Instruction pool (water temperature 31 degrees)
The instruction pool, measuring 15x10 metres, is accessible only for children up to 12 years of age under supervision. The water depth varies from 0.30 m to 1.10 m.
Bar/bistro
The bistro is the perfect place to take a break and catch your breath. There is a cozy bar and restaurant. While relaxing over a snack and a drink, you can also enjoy a beautiful view
of the recreational pool.
Outdoor accommodation
The swimming pool, De IJzeren Man, also has quite a large outdoor accommodation with state-of-the-art stainless steel pools, which are accessible to a very broad public. Besides various pools for toddlers and young children, a 25-metre pool and a 3-metre high diving tower have been installed. And there is ample space available on the large sun terrace for
enjoying some sunshine.
